Baker 2nd Shift

Job Introduction

Works in oven room baking product. Loading and unloading product in ovens.  May work with simple equipment and conduct operational checks.

Role Responsibility


  • Works in oven room.  Transporting product in and out of the ovens.  
  • Works in assembly, production, packaging areas in various capacities according to specifications.
  • Can operate a Start/Stop button.
  • Safely clears jams on the line.
  • Moves product to and from production line.
  • Responsible for in process checks as assigned.
  • Could mix, bake or palletize.
  • Responsible for alerting Operators, Leads or Supervisors of any quality or safety issue.
  • Responsible for working safely at all times.
  • On the floor 100% of shift.
  • Other duties as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and operate tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop or crouch. In addition, some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs.

The employee may occasionally move up to 25 pounds with a hoist, pallet-jack or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds of boxes of product, bales of cartons, or rolls of film.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Able to communicate and take direction from the Group Lead and/or the Production Supervisor.


Preferred one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environments, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
