Machine Operator

Job Introduction


Role Responsibility


1,000 SIGN ON BONUS ($500 paid after 4 weeks/$500 paid after 8 weeks)

The Machine Operator is responsible for performing set-ups, making minor adjustments and operates mechanical packaging equipment. Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality per customer requirements both before and after product is packed in the Packaging department. Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to:

  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods
  • Grasping, lifting, holding, or feeling objects 
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. 
  • Ascending/descending stairs
  • The employee may occasionally move up to 25 pounds with a hoist, pallet-jack or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds of boxes of product, bales of cartons, or rolls of film. 
  • Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus 
  • The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and non-moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee could have work conditions that are extremely cold or extremely hot.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
